March

I've meant to update, I really have. In my head I've thought of posts but at the end of the day I am too tired or preoccupied and they are lost.

I took today off because I am not feeling well and needed the rest. I definitely got my fill of TLC shows. Also Kris's fancy new camera arrived and he has been playing around with it. Although it is technically "our" fancy new camera, it is too sophisticated for me, I am a point-and-click type of girl. But we were in need of a new camera, especially with the big trip this year and Kris made his justification plea pretty solid for future uses. While he was outside snapping photos, Oakley got into the trash and ate some chicken wing bones. Anyone who owns a dog knows that this is a NO-NO and I was infuriated and upset instantly. I called the Vet and of course they wanted us to bring him in. But really what can they do, take some X-rays and observe him? Kris just went on the internet and looked up some helpful suggestions of a bland meal to cushion his pushin, and watch for signs of distress. So the dog's second dinner of white rice, fried egg, with chicken stock had more thought and preparation then my own. The little piggie goobled down his second dinner and now is penned in the corner whinning to be free. We had a similar incident with our last boxer, Tyson. He got into the trash and ate about a pound of wing bones, discarded rice, and the roasting bag that was used to make the stupid wings. He was fine, hopefully Oakley will be too since he only got a couple of wings before he was caught. What a jerk.

Switching gears, my flowers are starting to pop up which is very exciting. I am anticipating spring and gardening. I also ordered some new bulbs because my site was having a awesome sale. Here is what will be making a appearance in my garden this season (all photos from dutchbulb.com):

Dahlia Tricolor

Lily Of The Valley (Fragrant, for the shade)

Geranium Johnson's Blue

Dwarf Daylily Pandora's Box

Love the blue flowers; of course, that's because blue is my favorite color. : )
