This season I will be taking the plundge into Square Foot Gardening (http://www.squarefootgardening.com). This book has been around for a long time but the new edition caught my eye Friday night at the local Barnes & Noble (yeah that was we did on Friday night, problem?). Kris has committed to building me the boxes and I hope that this summer I will be dazzlin you with this:

I have shy ed away from growing veggies because my yard sucks and it has alot of tree roots, improperly buried electric lines, buried concrete, and I do not own a rototiller...... But Mel Bartholomew's whole method is growing veggies in less space. I am pysched. I can also use some of the 1'x 1' boxes for a fresh cut flower beds. I have started some annual and herb seeds in my house and hopefully I can get Kris to start building ASAP which shouldn't be a problem since he has most of the materials.
