Lame recap

Quick weekly recap post because I am too lazy to write at night.......

Eye Surgery - I had a consultation last week at the TLC eye centers and found out that unfortunately I am not a candidate for Lasik eye surgery.  The simple story is that to correct your vision, they need to adjust your cornea tissue.  If you have awful vision like mine, there is not enough cornea tissue to properly correct vision AND prevent complications down the road.  Many unethical doctors will still perform the surgery and then patients will have major cornea issues later in life.  Oh well, TLC was awesome, friendly, and took the time to explain all the details to me.  Best of all, the consultation was free.  I would highly recommend contacting them if you are considering corrective vision surgery.  

Tickets to Ireland - One of the goals Hubby and I set last year was to take a big vacation to Ireland in summer 2009.  Aer Lingus put summer tickets on sale, so this August we will be heading off.   Flying into Shannon and then driving a northern path, and then ending in Dublin.  I am letting Hubby plan the itinerary,  he is good at that stuff.  People keep asking if we're going to find family.  Hellz NO!  I am not knocking on any doors.  I am going for the scenery, adventure, and food/beverage.  

Catalytic Converter - My catalytic converter bit it last week.  Granted I was lucky I did not break down on the side of the road, but the cost of repair was quite high.  Oh well......I bet mechanics are actually thriving in times of recession.  People need their cars and are not buying new ones.
