I WANT, I WANT, I WANT......Unique Dahlia Mary Eveline.....Summer 09

I planted some tulips today, Lady of the Night, basic Apricots, and some double petals.......I have a variation of tulips from the past couple of Autumns but with garden additions and small vermin feasting on bulbs....you need to keep planting more.

While I wait for the first heavy frost I cut back some of my Dahlias, they have been wonderfuf this year. I love having the ability to just go out and pick fresh flowers every day. The bulbs bloomed so well that I am going to dig them up after the frost and save for next summer. Above are the Dahlias I am going to special order next spring. Next spring I am also going to buy a tiller attachment for my awesome weed whacker and just start digging up the yard so I can have MORE lilies, and dahlias, and daisies, OH MY.

So I am not the type to become easily addicted or spend recklessly, but I have discovered the world of online flower bulb buying. Full of special varieties not available at the local HD. Just check this tulip beauty out....I WANT I WANT I WANT.

$14.99 for 3 bulbs = basically 5 bucks a bulb. Now your standard pack of mixed tulips comes 40 per pack for 10 bucks or .25 cents per bulb. BUT they're so unique and the anticipation will get me through the long, COLD winter.......... I say pump dollars into my garden NOW and forgo Christmas gifts for everyone in December. Word.
