Farewell Summer

To say goodbye the Hubby and I made our last summertime trip to the DQ. I got a twist dipped in CHERRY LARD! Although technically not for a few weeks, the summer is over. The Hubby and I were reflecting on a year that past by in a wink. Labor Day weekend last year we rented a boat and enjoyed lobsters in CT, gosh it felt like yesterday. I remembered how nervous I was about returning to school and all the expectations I had. We also reflected on all the friends without kids last year that are now parents. We wonder how different things will be by next Labor Day.

To recap on some of the milestones of the Summer 2008

• Took a much needed vacation to the Bahamas
• Took in a game at old Yankee Stadium for the last time
• Completed a summer session class
• Attended many showers, weddings, and other various celebrations
• Friends became mothers
  
• Cleared out the branches in the corner of the yard
• Installed a new heating system and converted to natural gas from oil
• Hosted a BBQ for family and friends
• Added to my gardens and purchased a weed whacker
  

Now the fall is here, I welcome it with open arms. The autumn is my favorite season, here are some of the things I look forward to:

• The Big E with Mom
  
• The scent of wood burning at night
• Apple & pumpkin picking
• Classes
• October 23rd (email me if you want to know why)
• Leaves
• Halloween (On a Friday this year!!!)
• Homecoming (we're actually going!)
  

UPDATE:
Oakley, Hubby, and I attended two boxer play group meetings this weekend and they were both GREAT! It was so nice seeing him play with other boxers and meeting some other owners in the area......we will definitely be doing it again. Pictures will be posted once I can use the other computer.
