Ba Ba Boring

Alright, the semester has not even started yet and I am already blowing off reading about Walmart for the VMA's. I will not be watching for long cause I am not sure who any of these people are.

OH WAIT, Christina A. is on, she is releasing a GREATEST HITS album and it has been 10 yrs since she released her first hit, What a Girl Wants. Can I get any older?

Anyhow it was our last weekend of the summer and we spent it by going down to the beach cottage in CT. Unlike my sister Kristen, I do not watch the weather channel and did not realize that it was going to be raining on Saturday due to some hurricane leftovers. Boo. Anyhow it still worked out because we were able to meet up with my family for dinner to celebrate my parents 30th year wedding anniversary. The ride back from the restaurant was pretty horrific and I had to close my eyes and bite my tongue so I would not scream at Hubby for driving too fast in such awful conditions. Most of the time outbursts like this just infuriate him and make him drive even crazier to piss me off. We got back safely and it was fun to walk to the ocean and see the waves rolling in.

Of course the weather was beautiful today (Sunday) but I just wanted to get home and prepare for the week.

Here are some fun snapshots:

My favorite Yankee Candle scent is Autumn Wreath, apples and spices YUM. Also here is a picture of a awesome house present we received from a family friend. It is shaped like a pumpkin with dried fruits and spices. The house smells wonderful.

Sausage and sauce for dinner

Celosia which is dying, how sad.

Mums for the fall. $14.99, thank you BJ's.

How did this Swiss Roll package get in my garden? If people are going to dispose of trash in my yard, at least leave some Swiss rolls for me!

Sedums are blooming, fall is really here.

The Dahlias were such a success this year. Who would have thought 6 dollars of bulbs would produce such happiness and amusement. Nice thing about Dahlias is that they multiply like crazy and need to be dug up after the first frost. That means I can move them to different locations next year. I think that I am going to start a Dahlia garden next year with many varieties and colors.

I just realized TODAY that the bud vases I received for my wedding (over 2.5 yrs ago) are PERFECT for Dahlias. Now they are almost gone. The one on the left is a mutant and did not produce any white tips. It is so beautiful it looks like silk. The one on the right is normal.

Alright this post is pretty boring, I am going to watch Britney who I am happy to say looks like she has gotten her shiznit together. After Britney it is back to Walmart.
