Weekly Round Up

It was quite a week. I finally finished up the semester and completed all my finals and requirements. Taking 3 courses this semester (all on separate nights) really was a challenge and did take time away from my family that filled me with guilt and sadness. On the bright side, I found that I was much better at managing my time and the combination of pregnancy, FT work and studies made me plan for class deliverables in a manner which I have not done in previous semesters. But it is over. Thank you Hubby for your understanding and support during spouse-free dinners, living in a disaster for a home, and having to dig through the sock basket for matching socks. I love you.

I did find that the first couple of days post-class were filled with super charged anxiety and being overwhelmed. In fact I MIGHT have cried because Hubby had not made arrangements to pick up the baby's dresser on Thursday night. During the semester, I did not have the capacity to really think about the endeavor ahead. Yes, Hubby and I talked often about what is to come, but I had months before Mini's scheduled arrival and simply did not have the bandwidth to REALLY consider what lies ahead (i.e. it was not real). But the combination of classes being complete, Christmas around the corner, and WHOLLY crap you mean the full term pregnancy starts at 37 not 40 weeks........It kinda freaked me out. I am feeling better now but can't believe that there is only about 6 weeks to go.

On Friday, Hubby and I went to my last doctor's appointment where there is no "touchie". We had the opportunity to ask the doctor lots of questions and things are looking normal. The baby's heartbeat is strong and steady and she is head down (although she is still small enough that she can flip if she wants). Now I am down to a doc appointment every other week, the next is on New Year's Eve.

Saturday was a day of getting things done. Christmas cards went out, the shopping was almost completed, and Hubby and I enjoyed a "we made it through the semester" celebratory dinner at our favorite pub. Today it was nice being snowed in (we only got like 3 inches) and now I am getting ready for the short week ahead......
