Beautiful Day

Today was a treat. Whenever the first, real nice weekend of the Spring hits, I always think of UMass. Students laying out by the pond, outdoor parties, and the sadness of knowing that the semester was wrapping up and the friends, who were staples in your everyday life, were soon going home for the summer. Now, 8 years post college, the seasons come and go without fanfare, but I still think of UMass in the Spring and Fall.

This Saturday I went into Boston to meet with a friend who I do not get to see that often. We went to a open house at the Boston Sailing Center for free sail boat rides, here is a view from the boat:

Then we enjoyed a nice lunch in the North End. The city was abuzz with people taking in the nice weather.

Sunday was spent gardening. There will be better pictures once more blooms come, but here are a few taken with the non-fancy camera:
